  • Catholic Schools Week begins this Sunday, January 31, with 9:00am Mass. An Open House will follow in the Academy gym. The Students are asked to attend in uniform. Please read the letter from Mr. Berrios - click here.

  • There are a lot of fun events and games during the week for our students. Click here for the CSW Schedule.

  • We will be holding a Book Fair in the Library during Catholic Schools Week. Parents are welcome to visit any time during our Open Houses or each morning during the week. Your children will be visiting the Book fair twice next week with their classes.
    Also in the Library:
    Monday night, February 1st from 6:30pm -7:45pm Build a Book Workshop for families.
    Monday morning, February 1st at 8:15am - 8:45am Moms are invited to the Library for "Muffins for Moms"
    Wednesday morning, February 3rd at 8:15am - 8:45am Dads are invited to the Library for "Donuts for Dads"

  • Winter Clothing Drive is underway until January 22nd. Any kind of clothing accepted, although winter clothing is especially welcome!

  • Evening Dresses needed to supply young ladies with prom  dresses. Click here.

  • On Thursday, January 21st, students and faculty of the The Academy of Our Lady of Peace are
    invited to participate in PAJAMA DAY, they will wear their pajamas to school in honor of Gwen
    from Madison, New Jersey. Each participant is asked to make a suggested donation of $5 to the
    Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

  • The Academy's first Variety Show is coming soon on February 2nd (after lunch) for Grades 3 to 8.

  • The Book Fair is coming soon! Please volunteer to help if you are able.

  • Academy Fitness Club has begun. Grades K-2 meet from 3-4pm on Tuesdays. Grades 3-8 meet from 3-4pm on Fridays. Wear your gym uniform on the days you participate.

  • A great No-cost fundraiser for the school is buying grocery cards! Buy your grocery cards for Kings, Shoprite, A&P, and Super Stop and Shop and the school earns 5%. Please support this win-win program.

  • January 18, 2010—School Closed for Martin Luther King Day Holiday.

  • McTeacher's Night -our teachers will be working at McDonald's on Springfield Ave. in New Providence on Tuesday, Nov. 3.  Join us for dinner anytime between 4:00pm and 8:00 pm. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Joan Bonacum Scholarship Fund.

  • Open House - On Sunday, Nov. 8,  10:00 am - 12:30 pm The Academy will be hosting an Open House. Bring a new family to the Open House and have a chance to win Front Row Seats to the Academy's Christmas and Spring Concerts... Plus free tickets to an AMC theatre.

  • Wharton School of Music is here at the Academy! Going home today is a packet of information explaining the music classes being offered each morning at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace.

  • Order Lunches for October at www.Orderlunches.com .  Since many parents missed the deadline, Orderlunches.com will stay open until mid-night tonight. If this is your first time ordering this year, you will need to register using the password "peace20".

  • Back to School Night - Tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7pm in the auditorium.

9/24/09:

  • H.S.A. News -Please read it carefully. Each week the H.S.A Secretary summarizes the information you need to know.

  • Loan of Text Books - Please sign and return these forms. The county requires one form per student to gives us dollars for education.

  • Enrichment Forms - Review the course selection and register for these great after-school activities. No need to worry about conflicts with Academy Soccer; the dates will be adjusted.

  • Choir Sign Up - Children grades 3 through 8 are eligible to participate in Choir. Practices are Wednesdays 3:00 - 4:00 pm in the Church.

  • Look for Box Top$ for Education on many of your favorite foods.  Each box top is worth 10 cents to our school. It adds up fast. Cut them out and send them to school.

  • Picture Day is October 6th. Students will wear their uniform. Everyone will have their picture taken for the yearbook. But, if you want to order prints, you must send in your order before picture day. Envelopes and order forms were sent home in the backpacks. Call the school's office if you need more.
